The Fine Arts Center is a 501 C(3) non profit organization dedicated to "Empowering lives through the Arts". We do this by promoting and providing affordable fine arts opportunities for youth and families in the community. Our goals have been to teach arts skills, inspire creativity, support local artists, and give youth and families a place they can enjoy feeling feel a part of. We strongly believe art can help build respect for self and community and make our community a better place to live. Initiated in 1999, we now see 8,000 to 10,000 people attending various classes and programs annually for 1 to 20 hours of participation.

~The Art of Making a Difference~
We so appreciate all the people and organizations who help us exist to make a difference, and as is stated in our mission: " Empowering lives through the arts". We are seeing this in so many of our programs.
- The self confidence that is found in theater, especially a smaller theater program like ours where everyone has an important part and becomes part of the cast "family" and can get individual help to develop acting and singing talents
-The joy of creating something fun and new
-The joy of learning new art techniques and having your
drawing turn out as intended
-The fun of being needed as a volunteer teen and
helping different organizations around town or
running a kids activity day
-Learning to sing a solo on a microphone and get up in front
of an audience knowing it will sound great
Our motivation to start this non-profit organization was to provide a safe, positive and artistic outlet for the teens in our community, especially those from low income homes. Because we wanted teens to see art as beneficial and powerful at any age, we decided to promote arts opportunities for all ages from preschool to older adults. We see art as a community building tool that can bring families together, give young moms a chance to get out, encourage youth to work with each other, and inspire creativity in all ages.
Please help us continue this opportunity and movement. Donate, Volunteer, or Get involved!
